Servant

If you have not seen
this story
you should watch it now.......

14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

A Senior

A senior....I have a SENIOR this year. So hard to believe....it just doesn't seem like it's been that long....how did this child grow up so fast on me. He's a little freaked too, I can tell. The decisions that we expect our children to know and do at such a young age are amazing....this child has no more of an idea of what he wants to do when he grows up, then I did at his age.....I was 34 before I figured it out, LOL! He's ready to be through with school and start his life.....he has a mama who has groomed him to fly and be....he's very grounded within himself....he wants experiences....I understand that, we have the same gypsy gene...and I want for him all the experiences life can offer him at this age...but I realize he'll go on his own to do them....and leave me behind...it's bittersweet....this one year is what I have left....and then....he'll fly with my blessing that whatever he finds...he'll soar with it....
and send me lots of pictures...

Nuff Said

I received this email today, worth the read!

This makes you renew your faith in people!!

I don't know who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal service! Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so, and she dictated these words:

 Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I 'm happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey & Meredith , addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had. Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey  and Meredith and this note:

 Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in so I'm sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by. Thank-you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love.
Love, God

And thank you Linda for sending this email to me!

Words Of Wisdom

For all of us who are married, were married, wish you were married, or

wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next
 time you see a
 bottle of wine:

Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern
Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of
 the road.

As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked
the Navajo woman if she would like a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk
with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking
intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail,
until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally.

'What in bag?' asked the old woman.

Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, 'It's a bottle of wine. I
 got it for my husband.'

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking
with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said:

 'Good trade.....
