Table Topics Tuesday...Road Trip

OK here we go, Shannon's question for today:

where would you like to go on vacation this year?

OK now this is NOT where we are going for vacation, but it's someplace I would like to go. We always vacation in the fall, school's in session so less crowds(one of the pro's of homeschooling)! So my desire is to travel the east coast to Vermont and Maine. My SIL is from Vermont, so Rita and I used to take off in the fall and go stay with her family. This was before Greg and children. I LOVED it! So I would love to pile in the Sequoia and road trip it all the way up staying in Vermont and then Maine...for the lobster rolls of course!! Alas...we are road tripping this year, just not quite that far...we're heading to Wheeling WV by way of the Blue Ridge Parkway...why has the closest Cabela's!!

OK now head on over to Welcome To The Nuthouse and see where the rest of the nuts would like to gather!!

I'll bet that part of the country is beautiful. I have never been...but then again I am not a big traveler. I wish I could beam myself somewhere:)

Do you have room for one more? I would love to see this part of the country during the fall. The colors of the leaves just beginning to turn and the crispness of the air. AMAZING~!

Sorry it's been a while since I stopped by, and hoping to be back on track now. Life is tough sometimes. Just wanted to know I've missed you!

Great choice! I see pictures of Maine and want to move there - its just so pretty. Then I remember how cold it gets. :0 Bet it's nice in the summer though.

I've always wanted to visit New England. I don't know why I never have, it's not that far. I would love to see the leaves.

Don't miss BlogTrotting on Thursday, we're visiting a Vermont blogger! What a funny coincidence!

Sounds like a lovely vacation road trip. My sister went to Maine and Nantucket a few years ago, her pictures are beautiful. She went whale watching and ate fresh lobster (just a smidge of jealousy :^)
Someday, we hope to road trip out West. See the Grand Canyon and perhaps raft down the Colorado River. Oneday right!

I have to say, of all the places we have been, the Appalachian Mountains is my favorite place to travel. The beauty of the Blue Ridge gets me. In heaven, my mansion will be on the side of a moutain. :)
Have a wonderful day,

Love New England! The summer before my junior year of high school, I spent 2 weeks in Rockport, MA. Gorgeous place! My BFF's dad lived there. We spent a day at Water Country, in NH, where I proceeded to get the worst sunburn of my teenage life. It happened somewhere along the lazy river. Water reflecting the sun on to the shin does not bode well for a redhead not wearing sunscreen.....stupid. I know. My mother was not there to remind me.
