I have made 2 of them and they have turned out pretty good. But it has been awhile. I would love to try one like this. Hugs, linda gypsyluv1010@gmail.com

No, I've never made one from scratch. I mean, all the pieces were already there and we had to put it together. Is that what you mean? LOL

We never made one which wasn't from scratch! We have had some architectural difficulties over the years when the slabs of gingerbread cooked unevenly and we had to fill up the gaps with lumps of chocolate glued together with heaps of butter icing! And one year the girls loaded the roof with so many chocolate buttons and icing that it caved in on Christmas Eve! But we've had some really GREAT fun...the disasters have probably been more fun than the good ones actually! And the year we had puppies they ate it when we weren't looking...

Never from scratch, but Gabe and I made a Halloween Wilton house this year, and it held up well, and was a lot of fun to decorate. The kids would love this one!

We've never made one period. I have wanted to try it with Dominic but it kinda scares me. :) Maybe we'll do that soon.

Never made one from scratch. We have made those graham cracker ones though at Sunday School. :) I think my daughter did one in class in 1st grade, too . . . eons ago.

I have never done one from scratch. I have used the Wilton Kits before and LOVE them. However I cheated last year and hot glued the house together. YEPPERS it was not for eating..LOL I did let the kiddos eat candy and all while decorating the outside.

From scratch? When I was a kid, we use to glue/froast grahm crackers to milk cartoons and then decorate them! My mom saved them for years until ants got into them. I think that was pre-school days so it's some I still remember!

2 years ago on our ladies shopping trip to Branson(which I just got back from) we had a contest to see who could make the best house. My group had 3 ladies in it and ours won! I recommend warm water to help the icing spread!

jane, will you please check with "Angie" I tried to enter her contest for today and it says it is closed for comments. I was going to go back to a couple of the days I missed and catch and it won't let me. Am I too late?
