Oh what a cute ornament! We really don't have a theme, but we do have a tradition. Every year we let the kids go and buy/make a new ornament for the tree. They alwasy have fun picking out new ornaments. I wonder what they are going to pick this year?! Have a great Holiday season!

Is using the same ornaments every year considered a theme? LOL

Theme? Seriously? I have trouble enough just getting all the ornaments together and ON the tree! Besides, I live a hodgepodge life and it is reflected in the craziness of my tree. :-)

Theme...hmmm...Christmas? Actually since they were able to walk the girls have always been in charge of decorating the tree so basically its always been more of a 'how much can we hang on the tree this year before it falls over' sort of theme...and yes, some years it falls over...!!!

No real theme really. But when me and my husband first started dating, I started getting him an ornament from Hallmark to put on the tree. So those definitely have to be on there. This years "theme" is aqua, silver and dark silver.

Yes, my theme is hodge podge. I just inherit ornaments and add them to my pre-lit tree....:) I've recently started putting bows on my tree. I'm really liking the look of it.

Hodge podge is my theme. I don't have any really specific them, although I have, recently, started using bows.

I hate it when that happens. My comment didn't show up, so I attempted to re-word it.....ugh!

That ornament is ADORABLE!!! :)

A theme? Eh, I don't know if you could call it a theme... maybe? My Uncle used to work for the Navy and lives in DC. Every year, The White House issues a Christmas ornament. My uncle has been sending them to my Mom since... 1982, I think... and hasn't missed a year since. So, our tree [I don't have my own. boo] is dotted with ornaments courtesy of the White House. We used to have a mixture, but now we just use those since there are sooo many. :)

Yes! And the theme is "Colors." As in, everything better be as colorful as possible, including the lights! Early on in our relationship, poor hubby lost the colored vs. white lights battle. For all time. I just don't do white lights on a Christmas tree. But I do white lights around the bannisters, to make him smile!

Coming from Shannon's place. I love this fun giveaway you are doing!! And I LOVE Christmas ornaments! I came on the right day. I collect ornaments from my travels so that is the theme of one tree. The other tree is my collection of eskimos my mom started for me as a kid, and the third tree is candy and kids' homemade goodies. See! I totally need this little guy, he'd go PEFRECT on the eskimo/ice tree!

No...we just throw all the ornaments up there in hopes they stay:)

The tree downstairs is themed just for Stevie. I use Harley Davidson and Va Tech ornaments on it. One year I found orange & bronze balls so I use them too since it fits both things.

Upstairs I change it up every so often. This year I'm using white, silver & gold balls with some other stuff thrown in. I haven't actually gotten it done yet so it's a work in progress.

I don't normally decorate my tree with a theme BUT this year I am doing - purple and silver! I can't wait :)

Nope no theme on my tree, but my kids every year get a new ornament! So it's fun every year remember what they were into the years past.

I always wanted to do a theme or a certain color, but no. I have a tree full of random.

THAT IS JUST SO CUTE! I LOVE IT! I HAVE THE TREE IN MY DINING ROOM THAT I DO IN PRIMITIVE. THE BIG TREE IN THE LIVING ROOM HAS ORNAMENTS FROM WHEN I WAS A KID, MANY MOONS AGO, TO ORNAMENTS THAT MY GRANDKIDS MADE, AND I LOVE IT MORE EVERY YEAR. LINDA gypsyluv1010@gmail.com

Hi, No theme usually except the year my daughter was married and then we did a special theme for her since it was right near christmas and we were having an open house.

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it but YES I decorate in a theme. I have all the crepe (fancy) ornaments in different motifs that are hung on my tree that is allowed to only have small white lights. Because I really am that anal. But the "special" ornaments also always get added.

In the past I have never decorated with a theme...it changed this year. Usually I put all the ornaments my kids got or made on the tree. This year it is red and silver with snowmen only.
Thanks for the chance to win this cute penguin...snowbird!

What do you mean, at least one of them? YIKES!!!!
I'm lucky if I get anything on my tree.
Seriously, I just have a bunch of ornaments that I have collected through the years. The only new thing we put on each year is a new picture of each of the kids.
Sorry, I'm a slacker.

Love the penguin!
I have a quasi theme: mish mash of US Navy, Snowmen, stuffed toy things, faeries, and now since we moved to O'ahu: Hawaiian ornaments!

I do decorate with a theme, but I put up all of our yearly ornaments with it. Last year, the theme was Red & Gold, and I tied red bows on all of the branches and put up strings of gold beads. Haven't decided what to do this year??

Michelle said...

No theme for me. But every year I buy my girls a new Hallmark ornament for their collection.

We don't do a theme. We get a big, real tree-- Fraser Fir. And fill it with all the ornaments I received each Christmas through the years. No theme, but it's really sentimental!

I would love to get a smaller tree and do a fun theme though!

We don't decorate with a theme. Part of the fun is seeing all our favourite ornaments each year and remembering where they came from.

MY Christmas Tree is ONLY Hallmark ornaments...and nothing else. Ihave a second tree for my kids to put their homemade stuff but my main tree is only Hallmark..I am a nazi about my Hallmark tree.
