It's funny how literal kids are, isn't it? I can totally picture this in my house. We're working on manners (always!) and I'm trying to explain that you can do anything (burp and fart) just because you say excuse me afterwards. There's a time and place, but that is sinking in sllllooooowllllyyyy! :)
Oops, I meant you CAN'T do anything just because you say "excuse me"!
So cute. I just loved when the kids were small (now they are 23 and 19 so I'm really old :D) and would actually listen to what I said. Then at times when I thought lessons were learned - they would do something just to get a reaction. Then they would laugh like I was the one being silly
