Homework Song

D and I were arguing, as usual, over his writing class homework today. I was trying to help, yes he asked me to, and he was looking away not paying attention, etc. He just kept saying "I cant' do it" or "I don't know what you mean". Girl was in the living room with us and when I finally paid attention to what she was saying, I discovered she was singing encouragement to her brother. Does anyone else listen to "Yo-Gabba-Gabba" on Nick Jr?? One of their songs is what Girl was singing, remember this is her version:

Don't Stop, Don't stop
Never Give Up
Never Give Up
Don't Stop
You Can Do It, Yes You Can!

Over and Over.......................... D and I couldn't help but laugh............

Oh I totally know that song. That show annoys me overall, but it's one of the only things that keeps Chloe's attention for longer than 5 seconds. But that song, I do like that song. How sweet that she was encouraging her brother! So sweet. =)

Oh, yeah Yo Gabba Crappa is really big around here. I hate it!! Well and I love it. It keeps the kids out of our hair for awhile. Yes I said the H word to my mom. I'll repent. It's hard to say Hey mom, what the H, E, double toothpicks are you talking about. Try the rice pudding. What the H, E, double toothpicks.

Sadly the only time I've ever even heard of Yo Gabba Gabba is when Joel spoofs them on Talk Soup. He makes fun of that show every week and it always makes me laugh. Of course my kids are grown so I don't have to deal with that kind of programming. It's cute that she was singing it to her brother though...how supportive. My siblings would have just punched me and told me to stop my whining!

Very funny & cute! Will you ask your daughter if she'll sing this to my stepson the next time he's battling his homework?!
